Making Sense of Market Data
When you look at market data on Stockr or any financial platform, you will see several key numbers. Let us break them down.
Key Metrics
- Open — The first traded price of the day
- High / Low — The highest and lowest prices during the day
- Close — The last traded price (or current price during trading hours)
- Volume — Total number of shares traded
- Turnover — Total value of shares traded (price x volume)
- Change — Difference from yesterday's closing price
What to Watch
- Top Gainers — Stocks with the biggest price increases today
- Top Losers — Stocks with the biggest price drops
- Most Active — Stocks with the highest trading volume
